Als Usability-Experte mit 10 Jahren Praxiserfahrung und halber “English native speaker” versuche ich mich auch mal an der Übersetzung:

1. I think that I would like to use this system frequently
Ich denke ich würde dieses System häufig benutzen wollen.

2. I found the system unnecessarily complex
I habe das System als unnötig komplex wahrgenommen.

3. I thought the system was easy to use
I hatte den Eindruck, dass das System leicht zu benutzen ist.

4. I think that I would need the support of a technical person to be able to use this system
Ich denke ich würde die Unterstützung eines Fachexperten benötigen, um dieses System verwenden zu können.

5. I found the various functions in this system were well integrated
I hatte den Eindruck, dass die verschiedenen Funktionen des Systems gut zusammenspielen.

6. I thought there was too much inconsistency in this system
Ich denke, das System enthielt zuviele Inkonsistenzen.

7. I would imagine that most people would learn to use this system very quickly
Ich stelle mir vor, dass die meisten Leute die Verwendung des Systems schnell lernen könnten.

8. I found the system very cumbersome to use
I fand, dass das System sehr umständlich zu benutzen ist.

9. I felt very confident using the system
Bei der Benutzung des System fühlte ich mich wohl und selbstsicher.

Die aus meiner Sicht schwierigsten Begriffe für eine Übersetzung:
Technical person
Integrated
confident

Hier eine Wort-zu-Wort Übersetzung zu finden ist mir schwergefallen, ich denke manchmal gibt es das zwischen Deutsch und Englisch einfach nicht, wenn man den eigentlichen Sinn der Aussage vollständig bewahren will.

Viel Erfolg beim Zusammenführen aller Übersetzungsvorschläge! Ich bin sehr neugierig, von dem Ergebnis zu erfahren.

Just got a phone call from someone in pressing need of the standardized translation. This comment serves just as an update that we are still in the process of arriving at one condensed German translation that is then subject to be re-translated to English and check for semantic closeness. I fear the whole process will take some more time…

Hier ist meine eigene Übersetzung der Sätze, ich werde aber (bis es eine standardisierte deutsche Version gibt) ev. einige Teile aus den anderen Übersetzungen übernehmen.

Das Fach Kommunikationswissenschaft fehlt ebenfalls in der Auflistung und kann nicht unter Medienwissenschaft subsumiert werden, da auf unterschiedliche Methoden und Theorien Anwendung finden. Mit Sozialwissenschaften wird zwar der methodische Ansatz geteilt, doch ist die inhaltliche “Fallhöhe” zu groß.

Slawistik, Anglistik, Germanistik und Romanistik sind dann bitte was genau in deiner Liste? ;)

Dann müsstest Du konsequent sein und die vier auch rausschmeissen.

Allerdings: Ohne genaue Kenntnis der Inhalte, würde ich mich das nicht trauen… Gesundheitswissenschaften subsumiert ja auch nicht Medizin und Pharmazie. ;)

Liebe Frau Domik, Sie haben mit ihrem Kommentar vollkommen recht, was die Übersetzungen angeht. Das Crowdsourcing bezieht sich ausschließlich darauf, dass ich verschiedene Übersetzungen ansehe, um die verschiedenen deutschen Begrifflichkeiten zu erfassen. Was die Überprüfung der semantischen Nähe der Rückübersetzung angeht, ist wieder eine große Anzahl an Meinungen erforderlich, um sagen zu können, dass die deutsche Version der Fragen identisch zum Original ist.

Hier unten sind meine Übersetzungen – muss aber dazu sagen, dass ich nicht weiss, was man von Crowdsourcing für solch eine Aufgabenstellung halten sollte. Die Qualität der Antworten sind abhängig von den Sprach-Kenntnissen den gefragten Personen, nicht von der Anzahl der Personen, die antworten.

Hi Donna, the idea sounds pretty much like my very first ideas for my PhD back in 2008/09. My plan was to develop a new kind of CDE (Collaborative Development Environment) that would incorporate Web 2.0 tools in the whole process. I stopped doing that because of the very high workload that would be necessary in having a new CDE, testing it in some scenarios, continuously improve it and evaluate again. However, I still think this is a very interesting topic and would be happy to share my 2 cents about your proposal…

I just received an Arabic translation of the SUS, even if I was only looking for German ones. I don’t know if an Arabic version of the System Usability Scale is available and I certainly cannot judge the quality of the translation. Nevertheless, here it is:

I Agree with ““No. I don’t think this the best way to do it.” but I would extend it to: “No. I don’t think this the best way to do it, because … and thereofore I would propose to … .”

To disagree is easy. To disagree and to give reasons for this, is better. Best: Disagree, argue why you disagree AND offer another solution.

But to be honest: This is purpose of science. I see education and science as closely related, but I respect and understand individuals, that differ between those two.

In the end, you can educate the old fashion way ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxPVyieptwA ) or you try it somehow different ;)

Die Krönung ist ja, dass der gute Risch sagte, dort würden Erstsemester der Kulturwissenschaften untergebracht werden. Nun frage ich mich, warum der Großteil der Englisch Hauptseminare in Zelten stattfinden wird?!
Ich dachte anfangs, ich sehe und höre nicht richtig.. Ich ahbe es der Uni zwar zugetraut, aber mir kam das so irreal vor, dass ich es mir nicht vorstellen konnte… Tja, jetzt darf ich es diesen Winter 4 mal die Woche selbst erleben und mich in ein Zelt setzen…
Die Uni übertrifft sich wirklich immer wieder selber, leider nicht im positiven!

At our university, TU Braunschweig, we formed a little group also fucussong on the implementation and especially the usage of colaborative learning tools in higher education. We want to, besides scientific analysis, bring the students closer to the ideas of webbased colaboration by plunging them right into it. For the upcoming semester we plan on promoting a “precourse” which is supposed to do exactly that: use web 2.0 tools in a “real life” situation. Maybe we could stick our heads together and come up with a project in a distributed environement: A precourse at both our universities. not sure whether such an unordered excel-list makes much sense. there are literally hundreds of tools out there. i don’t know where to begin, or stop, adding. more interesting would be creating categories (like “tumbleblog”) and then looking for the most important tools in every category.

Hallo Wolfgang,
Was ist Wissensarbeit? Das ist die grosse Diskussion unter all denen, die sich mit dem Thema beschäftigen. Einige von ihnen behaupten, man spricht dann von Wissensarbeit, wenn die Personen mit intangiblen Assests – also auf gut Deutsch mit Informationen umgehen als hauptsächlichen Gegenstand ihrer Arbeit (z.B. Klaus North, Buch Produktive Wissensarbeit). Andere – und da zähle ich dazu – sagen Wissensarbeit = Problemlösen, egal ob das zu bearbeitende Medium mit den Händen fassbar ist oder nur aus Information besteht (z.B. Pfiffner/Stadelmann, Buch Wissen wirksam machen). Auf meinem Blog findest Du dazu auch noch viele weitere Hinweise – wenngeich auch nicht immer für eine Dissertation als Literatur brauchbar. Es zeigt aber die Diskussion auf. Sehr leicht kann man allerdings zeigen, dass meine Sichtweise die Bessere ist: ein Chirurg, der eine Standard Blinddarmoperation macht, die er bereits 100 mal gemacht hat, macht das routinemässig. Alle Abläufe und Handgrife sind klar. Das Probehandeln im sogenannten zweifachen Handlungsfeld findet nicht statt. Macht er eine schwierige und aussergewöhnliche Operation zum ersten mal, ist er Wissensarbeiter. Vor jedem Eingriff wird er Probehandeln, d.h sich die Konsequenzen genau überlegen. Er simuliert quasi basierend auf seiner Erfahrung den Eingriff. Er wird auch etwas ausprobieren und lernt dabei oder er vernetzt sich mit Kollegen, die ihm helfen. Der Chirurg löst ein Problem. Hierzu ist es hilfreich, die Literatur zur kognitiven Psychologie anzusehen, z.B. Hussy, Denken und Problemlösen. Dann wird der Unterschied klar.

danke für deinen Kommentar. Du beschreibst, dass Routinetätigkeiten nicht als Wissensarbeit zählt. Ich denke, dass diese Aussage diskussionswürdig ist, denn bestimmte Aktionen (Recherche, Verfassen von Anträgen, das Schreiben von wissenschaftlichen Artikeln etc) werden zwar Routine-mäßig durchgeführt, sind jedoch dennoch jedes Mal wissensintensiv und damit der Wissensarbeit zuzuordnen, oder nicht?
Danke für die Verweise auf die Dissertationen, ich werde schauen, ob ich die besorgen kann.

Es freut mich, dass sich auch die Universitäten wissenschaftlich dem Thema Wissensarbeit annehmen. Da ich mich schon seit langer Zeit mit diesem Thema auseinandersetze, möchte ich Sie darauf hinweisen, dass die oben genannte Definition von Wissensarbeit nicht korrekt ist. Wissensarbeit = Problemlösen != (ungleich) Routinearbeit. Wissensarbeit erfordert z.B. ein zweifaches Handlungsfeld. Das alles können Sie z.B. in der Dissetation von Gerhard Hube nachlesen oder im Buch bzw. Dissertation von Pfiffner/Stadelmann.
