ginkgo - scientific event management

ginkgo is a fresh approach to scientific event management and allows for social connections among participants, reviewers and organizers. With ginkgo it’s easy to stay informed about latest events and publications in your field. We aim at making the organization and participation in scientific events easier and more fun. Beyond that, ginkgo lets you stay aware about upcoming events, the activities of your fellow researchers and much more. ginkgo is currently in closed beta, so make sure to join the beta list today.

ginkgo is a project in the context of my Ph.D. and developed together with Julian Maicher using Ruby on Rails awesomeness. You can find ginkgo on Facebook and Twitter

  1. Any chance of gingko going online soon? I’m currently organising a conference in India on mobile phone applications for inclusive development, and would love to try the system. See: http://www.mobileplus-india.net

  2. Thanks for your interest in ginkgo. We’re currently working hard to finish the last bits. You could start using ginkgo’s beta in May depending on what you want to do. Drop me a line at wolle[AT]ginkgosem[DOT]com to discuss this.

  3. I didn’t know that you are involved in the Ginkgo project, Wolfgang. It looks quite interesting although I have already developed a research network with Mendeley.com

  4. That is another project that deals with awareness in Research Networks. I don’t think you can compare Mendeley with our approach as it is tailored to the management of scientific events. Stay tuned and check out ginkgo once it’s available.
